The Business Associates will deliver defined tasks on client assignments typically focussed on the technical support to clients and delivered across various Domains. The primary focus of this role is to contribute to the delivery of outstanding quality work on assignments within the approaches and frameworks set out by MicroSave and to seek guidance if unsure. Associates will build their knowledge and expertise in core areas of MicroSave’s client delivery work

  • Support the development and submission of proposals to generate business
  • Support the thematic publications to be developed from field experiences
  • Actively engage in Marketing Activities and participate in Digital Media dialogues ((blogs, discussion forums, etc.)
  • Taking ownership of self-development by acquiring skills, knowledge which adds value to the organization
  • including:
  • Business analysis
  • Process mapping
  • Financial modeling
  • Research techniques
  • Data analytics
  • Time management
  • Professional communication through both traditional and social media
  • Professional report writing
  • Presentation preparation and delivery
  • Project management
  • Execute specified tasks on assignments with the utmost diligence, attention to detail and focus on quality under the supervision
  • Seek guidance from colleagues when unsure
  • Participate in assignment de-brief meetings
  • Support the process of report writing and data analysis
  • Develop linkages with the staff of the client organization to gather assignment-related information/data
  • Assist in the review of training courses delivered, research papers prepared, a curriculum developed and technical assistance provided to clients
  • Contribute to the development of MicroSave’s toolkits and other publications
Skills & Requirements

  • Bachelor degree (or higher) in Banking/Business Administration/Accounting/Economics/Entrepreneurship/Data Analytics/Actuarial/Communication or related field
  • Other relevant professional qualifications in line with areas of specialization
  • Experience with financial modeling
  • Experience with the delivery of technical assistance programs
  • Cost accounting skill and experience will be an added advantage
  • Ability to deliver specified tasks under the supervision
  • Ability to build strong relationships
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A strong field orientation and proven interpersonal skills
  • Good spoken and written English (Knowledge of French/Arabic/Spanish will be an added advantage)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
